I joined the travel industry with House of Travel in 2022 and am so far loving it! 

I have already been fortunate enough to do a bit of travelling myself and look forward to seeing more of what the world has to offer in the future!

I love researching and planning a memorable holiday for clients, there is so much to learn about each and every destination. I find that sharing travel stories is a great way to connect with others!

I'm honestly in my dream job - I get to combine my passion for travel with my love of organisation and planning. Travel has changed so much over the last few years and continues to do so, which means there are more details to consider than ever before. 

It's so much fun getting to know my clients and helping them come up with the perfect itinerary. I can research to my heart's content and get into the nitty gritty to make sure your trip flows smoothly.

Meet Me:

I moved home to NZ in 2017 after living on the Sunshine Coast in Australia for ten years during my 20's (yes, I'd love to help you plan your next trip over there).

In the weekends I'm either reading a good book at home cuddled up with my rescue cats, or traipsing through the local forests - I'm not much of a city dweller if I can help it.

When it comes to travel, my attitude leans more towards 'go big or go home'. If I'm flying halfway around the world, you can bet that I'm going to make the most of it. I will bargain hunt my heart out so that I can fit in more days, more locations and more fun. 

I mean, is there any better feeling in the world than standing somewhere you've never been before, experiencing new things, tasting new foods, meeting new people and just having the time of your life? 

Chelsea

I have been in the travel industry since 1987 as a tour leader, travel advisor, traveler visiting the globe, and now Owner Operator of House of Travel Dunedin City. 

My travels have encompassed 105 countries initially using all forms of transport from a double decker bus around Europe to rickshaws in Asia to horses in the Middle East and dugout canoes in Central Africa with camels, elephants, donkeys and bicycles in-between. 

I am more than willing to travel in a lot more comfort these days visiting the Pacific, Myanmar, India, Vietnam, Ireland, China, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan, USA, Cayman Islands, Zimbabwe, Turkiye and Malta in recent years. 

I believe the transition is similar for people of my generation who still yearn to visit anywhere and everywhere but enjoy a bit, or a lot, more luxury. As such I have developed an in-depth knowledge of the whole spectrum of travel options and regularly come up with solutions to the most complex of travel plans.

My travel adventures started back in 2004 when I departed on my OE to Scotland with a stop in Dubai. 

I have travelled in all styles, backpacking around Europe, small group adventure travel following the volcano trail in Central America, luxury coach touring in Canada and many family resort holidays through the South Pacific.

I love booking travel just as much as experiencing new and exciting destinations myself.
