Hi, I’m Megan! I’ve spent over 13 years in the travel industry, helping people plan trips that are exciting, enriching, and full of unforgettable moments. I’m all about finding experiences that are a little different—whether it’s an adventurous trek, a hidden gem, or a relaxing escape.

Having lived and worked overseas, I’ve gained a lot of insight into what makes travel so special. I love discovering new places and connecting with locals, and I’m always on the lookout for unique experiences that you won’t find in typical guidebooks. My goal is to help you explore the world in a way that feels personal and meaningful, no matter where you’re headed.

I have been in the travel industry since 1987 as a tour leader, travel advisor, traveler visiting the globe, and now Owner Operator of House of Travel Dunedin City. 

My travels have encompassed 105 countries initially using all forms of transport from a double decker bus around Europe to rickshaws in Asia to horses in the Middle East and dugout canoes in Central Africa with camels, elephants, donkeys and bicycles in-between. 

I am more than willing to travel in a lot more comfort these days visiting the Pacific, Myanmar, India, Vietnam, Ireland, China, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan, USA, Cayman Islands, Zimbabwe, Turkiye and Malta in recent years. 

I believe the transition is similar for people of my generation who still yearn to visit anywhere and everywhere but enjoy a bit, or a lot, more luxury. As such I have developed an in-depth knowledge of the whole spectrum of travel options and regularly come up with solutions to the most complex of travel plans.

Having visited 32 countries (and counting!), I've been lucky enough to turn my passions of exploring the world into a career helping others do the same. I specialise in travel across Australia, the Pacific Islands, Cruises, and bring a wealth of knowledge from a six-month backpacking adventure across Europe that gave me first hand insight into travelling on and off the beaten track. Whether you’re planning a family holiday, a romantic getaway, or a once in a lifetime adventure, I’ll take care of every detail so that you can relax and enjoy the journey. Your travel will be made easy, memorable, and be perfectly suited to you.

Some of my most memorable experiences include hot air ballooning over the desert in Dubai, island hopping along Croatia’s stunning coastline, and something a little closer to home - Fiji! - A destination every Kiwi should experience at least once.
