Disneyland - Celebrate 100 years of wonder!

Why Holiday At Disneyland?
I was bitten by the Disney bug when I was 6 years old and every time I go back, there's always something new to discover in this magical place!
Enchanting. Magical. Mesmerising – ‘kids’ of all ages will love a whimsical Disney holiday. Disney celebrates 100 years this year, and with new shows, rides & entertainment planned, there’s never been a better time to visit. The heart of the celebration will be at Disneyland Resort in California.

My Hot Tips
A visit to Disneyland or Walt Disney World isn’t just a holiday – it’s a full-blown magical mission. And like any great adventure, a little planning goes a long way.
First things first – park reservations are a must.
To help manage crowds, both Disneyland California and Walt Disney World Orlando now require guests to book a reservation for the date they plan to visit.
-
For Disneyland, you can reserve up to 6 months in advance.
-
For Walt Disney World, you can lock it in up to a year ahead.
You’ll need to make your reservation at the same time as booking your ticket – so don’t leave it too late!
Your Disney app = your best mate.
Seriously, don’t go without it. The Disneyland and Walt Disney World apps are absolute lifesavers inside the parks. With the app, you can:
-
Store and scan your tickets
-
Order meals ahead with mobile food ordering (no more queueing for hotdogs!)
-
Check live ride wait times
-
Book your Lightning Lane entries – with either a Multi Pass or Single Pass
-
Find out where your fave characters are popping up for selfies and hugs
-
Get real-time park updates and tips
And yes – there’s free Wi-Fi throughout the parks, so you can save on international roaming while staying totally connected to the magic.
My favourite highlights
With new night time shows and the re-opening of Mickey's Toontown at Disneyland Resort, this is a celebration that can't be missed! High on my 'must do' 2023 visit is seeing the 'World of Color - One' show which will be showcasing the history of Disney using lasers and lights. And I can't wait to experience the new Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railroad ride - I do love rollercoasters!

Best Time To Go
Anytime is a good time to go to Disney! There is not really such a thing as a 'quiet' season anymore. For Disneyland - just remember if going in July/August it will be extremely hot waiting in lines. Christmas/New Year's is the busiest time in the Parks and there are various 'after dark' parties that happen throughout the year. These are separate ticketed events and usually sell out pretty quick. One of the most in demand is the Halloween parties. No one does a Halloween party quite like Disney!
