Itinerary
After breakfast you will be transferred from your hotel in South Bali area to Denpasar Airport to catch your scenic flight to Labuan Bajo. (additional cost)
Upon arrival at Labuan Bajo’s Komodo airport you will be met by your guide and continue to visit Batu Cermin Cave. Translated as Mirror Rock the cave is named after the visual effect created by the reflection of the sunlight on the walls of the caves.
Continue to visit the local market and stop at a view point with panoramic views over Labuan Bajo Bay before you reach your hotel for check-in and overnight.
Today’s journey start with an early pickup from your hotel and transfer to the harbour to cruising to Padar Island, the third largest land mass within the Komodo National Park. Padar was home to Komodo Dragons in the past however, lack of food and hunting drove them away. The island is known for having beautiful but short treks as well as some of the best panoramic views of the National Park.
The island is a great spot for sunrise and sunset making it perfect for capturing the beautiful beaches or the rolling hills catching rays of light.
Passing several small islands, Komodo Island, one the best places to spot Komodo Dragons in their natural habitat. Komodos are the largest lizards in the world and can grow to 3 metres in length, weighing up to 65kg.
It is estimated that there are around 2,000 dragons on the island, as well as a wide variety of other wildlife such as wild boar, deer and buffalo. The island is also excellent for bird watchers, with cockatoos and gosong birds (megapodius reindwardti), among others.
Don’t be mistaken – the Komodo may look large and cumbersome, but they can run at speeds of up to 18 kilometres per hour. They are also good swimmers, and, when short of food, these prehistoric looking animals might even be to eating their young! Filled with deadly toxic saliva and venom, these fascinating creatures are not the kind of animal that you want to get too friendly with!
The terrain on Komodo Island is flat and the flora changes with the seasons, going from dry and dusty with thin vegetation, to lush and green with the scent of wild basil in the air during the wet season.
Head ashore to the most beautiful Pink Beach, which gets its name and color from crushed red coral blended with sugar-soft white sand. This pristine beach is perfect for a dive or snorkel in the many shades of turquoise waters, with the underwater scenery as beautiful and full of life as the one above it.
Afterwards sail to one of the well-known dive sites ‘Manta Point’*, located in the west of Komodo Island. You have the opportunity to swim, snorkel or dive surrounded by Manta Rays as they circle in an underwater ballet around you, a truly once in a lifetime experience.

This morning you will sail to Rinca Island, home to the Komodo Dragon as well as a range of other wildlife including deer, horses, buffalos, pigs and megapode. Trek through the jungle where you may spot more dragons hiding in the grassy undergrowth. The dragons on Rinca are slightly smaller than those on Komodo, but just as formidable. Then make a stop at the island of Kelor, where you can enjoy a swim or a snorkel in the bright blue sea. Afterwards cruise back to Labuan Bajo and transfer to your hotel for overnight. (B, L)
After breakfast it is time to say goodbye and we will arrange your transfer to Komodo Airport to catch your departure flight back to Bali.
Upon arrival at Denpasar airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in South Bali area. The rest of the day is at leisure.
