Itinerary
Depart Windhoek and journey into the vast Namib, where open skies and desert plains greet you. We stop at Solitaire for the world’s best apple tart (own expense). The next day we explore the amazing landscapes of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei’s towering dunes and haunting salt pans.
Travel to Namibia’s charming coastal town for a breath of sea air. Enjoy free time for optional activities like scenic flights or ocean safaris.
Head into the dramatic landscapes of the Tsiseb Conservancy and the Brandberg in Damaraland. Explore ancient rock art at the White Lady and hope to see the elusive desert elephants on a 4WD safari.
Etosha’s vast salt pan, remnants of an ancient lake, stretches 120km and is the striking centrepiece of the National Park. Despite the arid surroundings, natural springs and waterholes attract a rich array of wildlife.
Elephants dusted in white salt make for iconic photos, and from our camp beside a floodlit waterhole, we may spot black rhino, lion or even leopard as they drink under cover of darkness.
We spend most of today in the Etosha National Park, before moving to our overnight lodge in the Grootfontein district. En route we’ll stop at the Hoba meteorite. At over 60 tons, it is the largest known meteorite on Earth.
Travel northeast to the Caprivi Strip and relax at your lodge overlooking the Kavango River which flows from Angola, across the Caprivi and feeds the Okavango Delta. A haven for birdlife and riverside tranquillity.
Explore the Mahango Game Reserve on a morning game drive. Cross into Botswana and explore the Okavango by mokoro and motorboat. Drift through reed-lined channels and spot hippos, crocs and dazzling birdlife.
Re-enter Namibia and enjoy an afternoon cruise on the Kwando River exploring this game rich area.
Travel across the Chobe National Park to Kasane. Our afternoon activity is an incredible experience on the Chobe River where we head out by boat into the park and get close to the elephants as they quench their thirst. We leave the park as the golden sun slips below the horizon.
Cross into Zimbabwe and marvel at the mighty Victoria Falls on a guided walk. A chance to witness one of the world’s greatest natural spectacles.
Your journey ends after breakfast. Airport transfers and additional post tour nights can be arranged.
