VIANI BAY RESORT

Guided Tour of Salt & oil-crafting process: Our guided salt tasting experience offers guests an inside look at the artisanal salt-making process, including the infusion of botanical ingredients.  During the tour, guests visit the Salt House, where we explain the story of Fiji Sea Salt, which originated during Covid when we had no guests, and Jone began experimenting with sea salt crafting. Guests then enjoy a tasting of our 16 handcrafted, flavor-infused sea salts, paired with fresh fruits and vegetables such as cucumber, coconut, pineapple, and tomatoes.  Fiji Sea Salt is available for purchase at our resort and select shops around Fiji. Initially, visitors were simply curious about the process, which led us to introduce the tasting events. We’ve found that guests love learning about the craft and have many questions about the process and story behind it.  Jone is now expanding his range to include Virgin Coconut Oils, Nigari, Body Scrubs, and Goddess Baths—all natural products for skin and hair care. These will be incorporated into future demonstrations and tastings.

Note: During our Cruiser Potluck Evenings, yachties bring and share their own meals, so this is separate from our resort dining experience.
