House of Travel Hamilton East - Terms and Conditions

1 July 2026 – 31 August 2026 Terms and Conditions

The Promoter

1.    The promoter is House of Travel Limited, trading as House of Travel Hamilton East, 707 Grey Street, Hamilton East, Hamilton 3216 (“Promoter”).

Competition entry and eligibility

2.    Eligibility information and the prize offered form part of these Conditions of Entry. An individual that renders themselves an Eligible Entrant is deemed to have accepted these Conditions of Entry.

3.    Entry is open to residents of New Zealand aged 18 years or older.

4.    Employees (and their immediate families) of House of Travel, its subsidiaries, related entities, or agencies associated with the promotion are not eligible to participate.

5.    To be eligible to win the ‘Prize’, a participant must make a complete new travel booking with House of Travel Hamilton East with a minimum total booking value of $3,000 NZD, and pay for that booking in full, during the Promotion Period.

6.    A “new booking” means a booking made for the first time during the Promotion Period. For the avoidance of doubt, the following are not eligible: upgrades to an existing booking; amendments to an existing booking; the addition of activities, insurance, or other add-ons to an existing booking; and deposits paid, or bookings commenced, prior to the start of the Promotion Period.

7.    Each Eligible Entrant receives one (1) entry into the draw, regardless of the number of qualifying bookings made or their value. The lead passenger of a booking is considered the entrant. Only one (1) entry per booking, regardless of number of passengers as part of the booking. Multiple qualifying bookings by the same entrant do not increase their chances of winning.

Duration of Promotional Period

8.    The promotion commences 9.00am NZST Wednesday 1 July 2026 and closes at 5:00pm NZST on Monday 31 August 2026 (“Promotion Period”). The Prize Winner will be drawn from the pool of Eligible Entrants after the end of the Promotion Period.

Selection of “Prize Winner”

9.    The Prize Winner must be able to provide a current, valid New Zealand Passport, New Zealand Driver Licence, or other valid photo ID to claim the prize.

10.  The Prize Winner will be determined by a random computer-generated prize draw on week commencing 7 September 2026. The draw will take place at House of Travel Hamilton East, 707 Grey Street, Hamilton East. The Promoter reserves the right to draw additional reserve entries and record them in case an ineligible entrant is drawn. The Prize Winner need not be present at the draw.

11.  If the winner does not respond to House of Travel Hamilton East within seven (7) days of being notified, they will forfeit the right to the prize. The prize will then be awarded to the next drawn reserve entrant, who will be announced and contacted in the same way.

12.  The Prize Winner will be contacted by the Promoter via email or telephone beginning Friday 11 September 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

13.  The decisions of the Promoter on all matters relating to this competition are final and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of an entry or a winner’s right to redeem the prize in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, and reserves the right to amend the prize or these Terms and Conditions, or in its absolute discretion cancel the promotion at any time and without prior notice.

Prize Details

14.  The prize is one (1) House of Travel travel voucher to the value of $1,000 NZD (“Prize”), redeemable only at House of Travel Hamilton East against a future travel booking. Voucher is eligible for bookings made by 31 December 2027, for travel commenced by 30 June 2028. Not valid for use on domestic travel.

15.  The voucher cannot be used to reduce the cost of the qualifying booking that earned the entry; it may only be applied to a future, separate booking.

16.  The Prize Winner (by accepting the Prize) agrees to abide by the applicable terms and conditions for use of the voucher as notified by the Promoter. The Prize is subject to the standard terms and conditions of House of Travel and of any relevant third-party suppliers.

17.  The Prize is non-transferable, cannot be sold, and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash, in whole or in part.

18.  Entering the competition constitutes the winner’s consent for House of Travel to use their name and city/town of residence for publicity purposes, without compensation. This includes House of Travel’s website, direct marketing and social media channels, and PR.

Additional terms

19.  If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, due to any cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the promotion, the promotion may be abandoned or postponed at the unfettered discretion of the Promoter.

20.  The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss), or for personal injury suffered or sustained, as a result of taking part in, the winning of, or use of the Prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

21.  Any personal information collected as part of this competition will be held by House of Travel in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020. You have the right to access, update, and correct such information.

22.  Privacy Collection Notification: House of Travel Holdings Limited and its related companies (“us”, “our”, “we”) are committed to respecting your privacy. Any personal information you provide to us will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at houseoftravel.co.nz/hot-info/privacy-policy.

23.  To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible or liable for: (a) inaccurate or incorrect transcription of entry information; (b) entries not received for any reason, including being lost, misdirected, late, illegible, or incomplete; (c) any technical failures of any kind, including malfunction of any computer system, network, server, or software; (d) unauthorised human intervention in any part of the promotion; or (e) any electronic or human error in the administration of the promotion.

24.  The above conditions do not affect, and are not intended to affect, any rights a consumer might have which cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law, including the Fair Trading Act 1986.

25.  The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Conditions of Entry, or to cancel, alter, or amend the promotion at any stage if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise outside its control, without awarding any compensation. These Conditions of Entry are subject to the laws of New Zealand.
