TERMS & CONDITIONS

Competition entry and eligibility

1. This competition is open to New Zealand residents who are over the age of 18 years, and attending the House of Travel Travel Expo 2025.

2. Employees (and their immediate families) of House of Travel, its subsidiaries, related entities or agencies associated with the promotion are not eligible to participate.

3. The competition commences on 14 August 2025 and concludes at 8am on 15 August 2025. After this date and time no further entries to the competition will be permitted. 

4. Only one entry per eligible person will be allowed in the prize draw. Entrants may only enter the prize draw once. Entrants are only able to win one (1) of the spot prizes.

5. All entrants accept that they will receive email updates on the latest HOT holiday deals, where they have agreed to in the entry form.

Prize details and prize draw

1. The prize draws will be made from all entrants who have fully completed the entry form. Entrants are only eligible for one prize draw.

2. The winners will be notified by email or phone, using the information on the entry form.

3. If the winners have not confirmed receipt of the prize within seven days of being notified then, the prize will be forfeited.

4. The Qantas voucher can only be redeemed at House of Travel The Square or House of Travel Broadway. The value of the voucher will be held as a credit at one of the stores, of the winners choosing. Any additional payment required as part of the booking will need to be made by the winner, at the time the voucher is redeemed. See Voucher conditions below.

5. Spot prizes need to be collected within 7 days otherwise the prize may be redrawn.

6. The prizes are not refundable, not transferable, nor exchangeable and is not redeemable for cash or foreign exchange.

7. Entering the competition constitutes a winner’s consent to be photographed and/or interviewed by House of Travel and for House of Travel to use his or her name for publicity purposes without compensation. This includes House of Travel’s website, direct and social media channels and PR.

 

Qantas Voucher Terms & Conditions:

Prizewinner travel is valid/redeemable on Qantas and QantasLink marketed and operated services only and ticketed on 081 ticket stock. Prizewinner travel is not valid/able to be redeemed on other operating airlines, including codeshare flight numbers and services operated by Qantas subsidiaries (e.g., Qantas Holiday packages, Jetstar). The prize $500 includes GST and taxes. Travel must be booked via House of Travel The Square or House of Travel Broadway. The prize must be booked and ticketed by 31 Dec 2025 and travel is to be completed within the 12-month ticket validity. Prize travel is subject to availability in at the time of booking. Changes to tickets are subject to the rules and conditions of the ticketed fare, any additional fare collection, taxes and surcharges must be paid by the prize winner, Changes must be made by the original Qantas booking office. Fees may apply. The prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the winner is unable to use the prize. If the prize is not utilised as stated it will be forfeited. The prize must be used in one transaction. Any residual amount on the prizewinner voucher will be forfeited if not fully redeemed. The prizewinner and any travelling companion/s are responsible for obtaining all necessary travel documents (e.g.travel insurance, passports, visas, meals, ancillary products or any other costs of a personal nature) and complying with all health or other governmental regulations. The promoter makes no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at each destination. All prizewinner travel is subject to Qantas ‘Conditions of Carriage’. Qantas will not be liable for any taxation, including FBT that may be levied as a result of winning. The Prize is non-refundable, non-transferable (including names changes), non-exchangeable nor redeemable for cash or other goods or services. If lost or misplaced, it is not replaceable. Qantas Airways Limited, its related bodies corporate, their officers, employees and agents will not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury whatsoever (including but not limited to direct, indirect and consequential loss) suffered or sustained in connection with this competition, the promotion of this competition or the use of any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

2. PAY $100 ON THE DAY OF THE EXPO AND BE IN TO WIN ONE OF TWO $1000 INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL VOUCHERS.

You will automatically be put into the draw when you pay a non-refundable $100 at the HOT Expo Thursday 14 August 2025.

There will be one (1) prize winner drawn by random selection by House of Travel The Square for all those people why have paid a deposit to House of Travel The Square.

There will be one (1) prize winner drawn by random selection by House of Travel Broadway for all those people why have paid a deposit to House of Travel Broadway.

The draws will occur by 5pm Friday 22 August 2025. The Prize Winners need not be present at the draw. Only one (1) entry per person is permitted.

The prize is one (1) of two (2) House of Travel International Travel Vouchers, redeemable at either House of Travel The Square or House of Travel Broadway, as stated on the prize voucher, when booking an international holiday package (including flights and accommodation). Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and not redeemable for cash.

Voucher Terms & Conditions:

1. The Voucher must be redeemed by the winner, to purchase international travel, at House of Travel Broadway or House of Travel The Square (as named on the voucher). The voucher must be presented at time of booking.

2. The voucher must be redeemed, as payment towards an international holiday, by 31 August 2026.

3. Any unused amount will expire after 31 August 2026

4. The voucher may not be refunded or redeemed for cash.

5. The voucher will not be replaced if lost, stolen or damaged.

Additional terms for all prize draws

1. By participating in this competition, entrants confirm acceptance and agreement to the terms and conditions of this competition.

2. The joint promotors of this competition is House of Travel The Square Limited and House of Travel Broadway Limited.

3. We always recommend purchasing travel insurance. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, due to any cause beyond the control of the promoter which corrupts or affects the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the promotion may be abandoned or postponed at the unfettered discretion of the promoter.

4. The decisions of House of Travel on all matters relating to this competition are final and no correspondence will be entered into. House of Travel reserves the right to verify the validity of an entry or a winner’s right to redeem the prize in accordance with these terms and conditions. House of Travel reserves the right to amend the prizes offered and these terms and conditions and in its absolute discretion cancel the competition at any time and without prior notice.

5. The promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered(including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss), or for personal injury suffered or sustained, as a result of taking part in, the winning of or use of the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

6. Any personal information collected as part of this competition will be held by House of Travel in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993. You have the right to access, update and correct such information.

7. Privacy Collection Notification. House of Travel and its related companies (“us”, “our”, “we”) are committed to respecting your privacy. In addition to any other purposes we have made known to you, we will collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information to enable us to conduct this competition. Any personal information you provide to us will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Our Privacy Policy also sets out how you can access or correct your personal information and details our process for handling privacy related complaints. Our Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time without notice to you and a current version is available here.

8.
